In the mail today I got two CD's from the Planet Dance Band. I don't know much about them. There was a note with it that I might like to try this music on Radio Free Vermont. Well I loaded it and gave it a listen. A mix of melodies flowed over me and I was transported to a vision of dancing into the night on a warm summer night at a music festival in the hills of Vermont. I have added both "Revolution of Joy" and "Trancezendance" to the playlist. If you like...

"Unmistakably classical-sounding and unmistakably rocking. The end result... is not a rejection of the classical guitar repertoire, but an evolution... Their background in classical guitar is evident, and the playing is quite lyrical at times. But it also beats with a rock pulse, strums hard and takes listeners on epic dramatic journeys, taking classical guitar out of its pleasant surroundings and into the mosh pit." - The Brattleboro Reformer : Learn more about them.

As written in Seven Days. "With the release of their self-titled debut recording, local Celtic quintet Longford Row bring authentic Emerald Isle craic to the Green Mountains. The collection of 11 traditional Celtic tunes — plus one Cajun number — offers more than 46 minutes of distinctive, wool-clad coziness.
Downcast ballad “Queen of Argyle” is first and sets the album’s session-like feel with lilting ease. Guitarist Patrick...

In 1994 a group of college friends at the University of Vermont found themselves at a musical dead end. Everywhere they went, everything they played had been done before them and it was driving them crazy. Then one day, a bagpiper came into their midst. What strange, beastly creation was this? There was no place to plug in an amp, the piper tuned it with... electrical tape? Could this have been what they had been searching for all these years? It was. Aron Garceau grew up listening to...

Once again, major life changes are the source of inspiration for this album. Lots of parting ways with loved ones and soul searching as I was faced with flying solo again after three years of performing as a duo and having a steady musical companion. Everything was forcing me to take a closer look at myself and it took most of 2004 to regain my self-confidence as a solo artist again.
I decided to take more control of the recording and engineering process by...
