My friend Jenn is like this. She wants to fret- when I offer ideas to resolve- somehow I am the bad guy. So much so she hung up on me recently. All I did was verbalize HER bottem line. LOL. Oh well.

I noticed with some couples the woman talks for both of them. Then it drives me crazy talking to a 2 headed person.

I think often a male simple is not thinking about anything. Some conversations are a negotiation. With Jenny- she gets into a circular logic thing. No matter how the rant proceeds it comes down to "we are doomed, this is the worst day of my life".

If men tho were too vocal- it could be viewed as agression. There is a time to speak and a time to hold the peace.

-- I always had male pets. But in the last 10 years I had a female German Sheppard and now a cat.

Both are fiercely loyal. I get the impression more loyal then a male counterpart.

But the cat- I am sure she is a better hunter then the male cats. She will get a rabbit and a bird- her eyes focus on anything in the yard- even if she is laying on my desk. So the hunt factor- for cats- I think the females outdo the males. Jenn and I talking that a male cat will still mark the turf even after being neutered.

All pets I had had were better pets when neutered or spayed- I don't think I would want one who is not.

I recently lost my male parrot. He was a trip. One day I hope to have another parrot. He knew the real silver coins from regular coins- he would get all excited when I was sorting them!!! He knew what the good stuff was.

As I have gotten older I can notice a persons age right away. I zero in on it. There is also a dimension of respect for folks say 40 as opposed to age 20.

The topic came up about police tazers on another board. I think alot of that is people being confrontational- rude- having no manners. Which goes back to the 20 year old thing. I likely would have been tazered if they had them back then- as I did have an attitude.

It still floors me. A female friend age 42 in TX, does not like when a male is not in a house during a storm.

It isn't like the male can stop the storm. I sort of understand wanting a male around in case someone breaks in. But a storm? Hmm.

fascinating. My sister is a few states away. Her toddler son perked up when he seen me. She had showd him pics of all family. I was impressed. I look somewhat different in my pics- but he knew I was me- got excited jumped up and down and pointed. I was honored. :-)

If a man talks with his hands- or gestures too much- some might think he is gay. Mari, you might find Nueral linguistic Programming interesting. TV does this all the time. One day last week- Jenny spent an hour telling me she was tired, then Susan spent 40 mins telling me she was tired. Then shirley spent 10 minutes telling me she was tired. This was frustrating. What am I supposed to do about it?!

What makes the world go around? Men chase that which he thinks will give him the biggest prize in bed. A man will stack feces 24-7- if this is what is required to score the yong hot female. So while they say it is a mans world-- alot of things operate- in the man chasing the woman.

Which brings me to the chase. A man wants chase. If there is no chase then a man gets bored and wants more.

Then there is the heterosexual component. Suppose a male does not like gays- gets all crazy- but if a gay man then turned his chase onto woman and that cut into the chances of the prize to the straight man- is that what he wants?

One could also factor in age. Under age 30 - one is immature. 30 and over- some level of maturity has been reached.

I marvel at how- both men and woman have terrible dating experience. Unrealistic expectations. Frankly anyone 30 and up will have baggage. That is life.

Men want yound hot and employed ladies with no kids- and woman want a prince charming. of course when it falls short- it is everyone elses fault.

A man will sit on a greyhound bus 5 days to meet a lady. He wont do that for another man.

People build their own prisons. The more I learn-the more I need to learn.

Interesting. I often wonder about these things. At times I understand men alot better- but at other times I think the woman are easier understood.

Thanks for your comment, it is definitely impossible to understand men, when one looks at men as equal to women in their behavior, to understand a man, we need to know that they are by nature very different us women, and understand that they are very different from the women even in the way of expressing their feelings. This theme I started yesterday is very interesting post, I am seeking information of a book that a friend gave me, and as it develops the theme, you'll find each day more interesting, I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed and hope to achieve, that both men and women, we understand the way we behave, at least a little.
